Well, I was supposed to do Yoga yesterday.
I set up my workout schedule, so Yoga falls on Fridays. Usually, I'll leave work early Fridays, so I figure mentally, it's easier if I get Yoga done in my office first. Then go home.
However this Friday, Something suddenly came up:
I left to go home because:
"I had to start braising the beef, pork butt and veal shanks for the tomato sauce. It was my brother Michael's favorite. I was making ziti with the meat gravy and I'm planning to roast some peppers over the flames and I was gonna put on some string beans with some olive oil and garlic, and I had some beautiful cutlets that were cut just right, that I was going to fry up before dinner just as an appetizer. So I was home for about an hour. Now my plan was to start the dinner early so Karen and I could unload the guns that Jimmy didn't want, and then get the package for Lois to take to Atlanta for her trip later that night."
Okay, yeah, that was probably in Goodfellas.
In reality, I had a bunch of mindnumbingly horrible running around to do first, before going out to dinner. I brought my Yoga stuff home, with the intention of dong the Vinyasas before I went out, but left the DVD at work. So, I'll just do Yoga Monday.
I was short for time as it was, so I decided to just do Cardio X.
It's been a long time since I tried that DVD. I went hard at it, and the end kind of kicked my ass.
I took the day off from the Hand Grip routine. But every now and then I'd grip the 200lb grip 5x in each hand, and then did some inverted. Needless to say I did not come close to closing the freakin' thing.
