P90X Round 3 Day 16 -17: Chest/Back and 2 Mile Run

I was only able to get half my Chest/Back workout in and a 2 mile Run the past couple days.

Plus I have been thinking, Sometimes I'm stuck at work longer than I should be, then come home and get a workout in, which results in the fact that my wife and I do not have as much time together as we should have.

Probably not a bad thing for her. Less time that she has to put up with me.

Anyway.

With some inspiration from a new friend on my Beachbody Message board thread.

I'm going to ONCE AGAIN repeat week 2 of Round 3, only this time, do the workouts in the morning.

Which ordinarily, would seem like a nightmare.


However, I started thinking to myself, I'm already up a 6AM everyday staring at the ceiling until 7 anyway.


I might as well do something productive.

So. TO WORKING OUT IN THE MORNING!

For Tuesday I went for a short run and was going to do Chest/Back, but got a call my Grandmom went into the hospital, so I was in the emergency room for the night. She's been in and out of the Hospital several times lately, but she is a fighter and a stronger person that I can hope to be.

She has been through quite a bit and I've never heard her complain once. She just keeps fighting on. Which is motivational in and of itself and certainly puts things in perspective.

So. This was sort of a lost week. It was supposed to be P90X Round 3 Week 2, but I decided I will just repeat Week 2 again. No big deal. 

I did not get the workouts in. I missed Yoga, Arms/Shoulders and Plyo. I suppose I could have tried to push through them, but admittedly, I felt like shit and was exhausted.

One plus side (WHICH I WOULD HAVE DONE IN THE PAST) was that I did not take out my frustrations at work, by eating a small village this week to make myself feel better.

Well, sort of. My weekends are usually a different story. Cheatkends.

When I first started I dreaded doing Legs/Back just because I dreaded the thought of the very first exercise. It seemed impossible to do 25 Reps of the Stupid Balance Lunges, then I have to look at Eric and his Bandana actually adding weights to the freakin' thing.

Well, for the first time, I added weights to this exercise as well as bumped up my weights in the other moves where they are used. The results were I'm a bit sore today, and even though it might seem like much, I have somewhat a feeling of accomplishment.

Since I'm incapable of even changing my own oil, I had my car in the shop.

I get nervous trying to do any sort of Mechanic-type work myself.

I have had Satellite radio for almost 9 years. Today I was using a car without it, and basking in the  horribleness that is regular morning drive time radio. I may have heard a song in between the various morning shows' forced-fake-laughing and clapping at each other's annoying banter.

Sorry. That's just me being spoiled and throwing a tantrum.

Hand Grips  
For Hand Grips today, I added the 300lber. Which RIGHT NOW, Seems impossible to close.

I was looking back at a blog entry from when I first started with the hand grips, and I was complaining because I could not close the 150lb grips more than once. Now they are easy. It only took 7 months, but I'm all for any type of progress.
